Mission Statement

Our mission is: to stimulate and involve young people of the District of Columbia in governmental affairs; to increase the efficiency of popular government; to foster and perpetuate the ideals and principles of the Democratic Party; to provide for our people through its administration, the highest degree of justice and social welfare; to improve the living conditions in our communities.

The mission of DCYDs is:

1. To foster and encourage political activity among young voters and those  approaching voting age

2. To acquaint these individuals with the Democratic Party

3. To work to constructively improve the quality of life of the District of  Columbia residents and improve the communities in which they live;  4. To contribute to the growth and influence of the Democratic Party, to develop leadership, to increase Party responsibility, and to maintain and promote harmony within the Party ranks.
