Membership Committee

The Membership Committee identifies ways to promote our organization to new members, and works with all other committees as part of a “wrap-around” approach to growing membership.
Issues and Legislative Committee

The Issues and Legislative Committee spearheads our legislative action and agenda. This committee identifies policies DCYD should act upon.
Outreach Committee

The Outreach committee builds relationships with other organizations in DC, ensuring that young DC residents are connected to community-oriented groups.
Political Advocacy
Chair Matt LaFortune
The Political Advocacy Committee identifies campaigns DCYD should get involved in and organizes our members to get engaged.
Programming Committee
Vice President of Programing Kevin McClintock-Batista, Co-Chairs Chloe Perez, & Rebecca Morris
The Programming Committee develops and leads DCYD programming, which includes social events, meetings, partnerships, and more.
Statehood Committee
Co-Chair Demi Stratmon & Ty Powell Hobson
The Statehood Committee leads on the statehood for DC initiatives and programming.
Ways and Means Committee
Vice President of Finance Laura Maretich & Chair Luz Martinez
The Ways and Means Committee leads the support efforts for DCYD. We rely on the support of partners and friends in order to deliver programming and fulfill our mission.
